Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering activities. This is a highly commercial role where you'll work closely with operational stakeholders to understand business performance and provide actionable financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reporting
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful business insights
  • Partner with operational teams to improve profitability and efficiency
  • Assist leadership teams with strategic decision-making and performance reviews
  • Analyse financial and operational trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting processes across business units
  • Develop financial models and scenario planning analyses
  • Monitor performance against budgets and strategic targets
  • Support long-term planning and commercial decision-making
  • Utilise advanced Excel and reporting tools to drive efficiency
  • Support the implementation of AI and automation initiatives within finance
  • Improve reporting accuracy through data-driven solutions
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate manual tasks
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial information
  • Assist with audit requirements and compliance activities
  • Maintain strong financial controls and reporting standards

Job Experience and Skills Required

  • CA(SA) or currently studying towards CIMA
  • Minimum 1 year post-articles experience
  • Strong management accounting, reporting, and analytical capability
  • Environmental, waste management, industrial, or operational industry exposure advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable)
  • Strong financial modelling and forecasting experience
  • Interest in technology, automation, AI, and data analytics
