About the position

A leading player within the financial services space is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to partner closely with operational leadership teams and provide strategic financial support across the business.
This opportunity is ideal for a commercially-minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering with stakeholders to drive business performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Partner with operational heads to provide financial and commercial insights
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and identify variances
  • Conduct financial analysis and interpret trends to support decision-making
  • Perform cost and ratio analysis to improve efficiencies and profitability
  • Assist with budgeting processes, cost centre allocations, and forecast revisions
  • Prepare and coordinate financial reporting in line with IFRS and company policies
  • Investigate financial anomalies and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and reporting standards
  • Support continuous process improvements within the finance function


Requirements:

  • BCom Degree in Accounting / Finance / Management Accounting
  • CIMA qualification advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a management accounting role
  • Financial services industry exposure advantageous
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, VAT, and financial reporting principles
  • Advanced Excel and strong systems experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
