About the position

Purpose of the Role:

As a Legal Query Executive, you will be at the forefront of answering tax office queries, crafting appeals to various courts, managing litigation processes, and contributing to groundbreaking research and technical analysis in the withholding tax space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Autonomous Case Management and Deadline Mastery:
Take charge of managing your own cases with precision and accountability.
Meet deadlines promptly, showcasing your disciplined approach to responsibilities.
Technical Research and Query Resolution:
Perform in-depth technical research to resolve complex queries efficiently.
Analyze trends and provide valuable insights, contributing to continuous business improvement.
International Tax Law Expertise:
Stay abreast of international tax law developments.
Effectively communicate updates to the business, ensuring everyone is well-informed.
Collaborative Problem-Solving:
Collaborate seamlessly within the business to answer queries and resolve issues.
Establish and nurture professional relationships with Tax Office contacts.
Strategic Development and Market Awareness:
Work closely with the Team Leader to develop and accomplish goals, strategic plans, process flows, and best practices.
Maintain a deep understanding of market and industry trends.

EDUCATION
BA Law/BCom Law/LLB degree.
Strong academic research background.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of the financial services/investments industry is advantageous
COMPETENCIES
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
Showcase strong legal drafting skills.
Be deadline-driven, self-motivated, and possess quick and precise problem-solving abilities.
Exhibit strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail.
Display great interpersonal skills and a well-organized, methodical approach.
Excel in a team environment and possess the ability to recall and retain information.
Good command of the English Language - written and oral. Command of any other language is advantageous.
