Senior Manager: Commercial and Contracts
Are you a seasoned legal professional with a passion for commercial law, strategic leadership, and high-impact decision-making? We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager: Commercial and Contracts to lead a critical function within its Legal Services environment.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy, managing complex contracts, and guiding organisational compliance at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts
  • Draft and review business and legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned opinions
  • Perform contract and compliance risk audits, with actionable reporting
  • Monitor legal developments and advise leadership accordingly
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes, including settlement negotiations
  • Provide guidance on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Advise on intellectual property protection strategies
  • Oversee and manage external legal counsel
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

Qualifications:

  • LLB Degree
  • Admitted Attorney

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years post-admission experience
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Strong background in Commercial and Administrative Law (minimum 5 years)
