About the position
Job Purpose:
The Key Accounts Coordinator / Internal Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service within the assigned Business Unit. The role focuses on managing and growing key customer accounts, achieving monthly turnover and margin targets, ensuring accurate order processing, and providing market intelligence and customer feedback to internal stakeholders.
You will be responsible for assisting with the management of the top 15 key accounts, picking up on relationships with dormant accounts and building new key account relationships.
Key Objectives:
- Improve sales turnover and profitability within the assigned portfolio
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service to customers
- Promote and sell products and brands within the relevant Business Unit
- Achieve agreed monthly turnover and margin budgets
- Provide accurate market and customer feedback to the Business Unit Manager, Business Development Manager, and Product Specialists
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Account Management:
- Achieve set monthly turnover and margin targets
- Manage, maintain, and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts
- Proactively identify and engage new customers through cold calling, lead generation, and market research
- Reactivate dormant or lost accounts by rebuilding relationships and understanding customer needs
- Promote relevant products and solutions aligned to customer requirements
Customer Service & Order Management:
- Process customer orders accurately and timeously
- Manage customer expectations regarding pricing, availability, delivery timelines, and alternatives
- Liaise with internal teams to provide technical information or alternative solutions when stock is unavailable
- Monitor and manage open orders, back orders, returned orders, and available-to-supply stock
- Assist with resolving customer queries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner
Administration & Systems:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, quotations, and orders in the CRM system
- Ensure accuracy of CRM data at all times
- Assist the accounts department with customer account queries and reconciliations where required
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with Business Unit Managers, Product Specialists, and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Provide regular market, customer, and competitor feedback to management
- Contribute positively to team objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Preferably Matric and/or a Diploma specialising in Sales or Customer Services Management
Experience:
- Proven experience in internal sales, key accounts coordination, or customer service
- Experience within the industrial, automotive, off-highway, engineering or mining sectors is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously
- Technical product knowledge or understanding of off-highway or commercial vehicle components is an advantage
Languages:
***CTC - 30,000.00 - R32,500.00 with 75% guaranteed. Commission kicks in from 85% of Target achievement (Negotiable, based on skills, experience and in relation to current package)
