About the position

Junior IT Application Support / Product Specialist

R 300 000 CTC 

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Relevant tertiary IT qualification (Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field)
  • 2+ years’ experience in IT support or application support roles

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Experience supporting applications in MedTech, Insurance, or FinTech environments
  • Familiarity with application support workflows, including incident management, user support, and system monitoring
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, databases, and integration processes

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second-line support for business-critical applications
  • Investigate and resolve application issues, escalating when necessary
  • Perform SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data
  • Collaborate with product teams to support feature rollouts, updates, and testing
  • Document support processes, FAQs, and known issues
  • Assist in user training and onboarding for new systems or features
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth operations
