About the position
Our client is looking for a Junior Merchandise Planner to join our Head Office team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about ladieswear fashion, with the drive to grow in merchandise planning and buying.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning seasonal ladieswear ranges aligned with company strategy and customer demand.
Analyse sales and stock reports to help guide buying and replenishment decisions.
Support in sourcing and selecting products from local suppliers.
Assist in negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Work with the buying team to ensure a balanced range of styles, sizes, and colours.
Monitor product performance and recommend actions to maximise sales and minimise markdowns.
Help maintain accurate product, order, and allocation records.
Requirements:
1–2 years’ experience in merchandise planning, buying, or retail stock management (fashion retail preferred).
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good understanding of fashion trends and customer preferences.
Organised, detail-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with sales/stock data.
Willingness to learn and grow within the planning and buying function.
