About the position

A well established company within the financial sector requires a Junior Graphic Designer.

The following education, experience and attributes are required:

 

Formal Education Required


  • A National Diploma in Graphic Design would be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum five years experience.

 

Duties:

  • GRAPHIC DESIGN AND LAYOUT
    • Meet the various design and typesetting requirements of the marketing team.
    • This involves a mixture of working in pre-existing templates as well as free design and setting up new templates.
    • Design output will vary from company’s annual report, flyers, brochures, stationery, invitations, graphics, economic reports, photos and direct mail.
    • All design work needs to be in accordance with the marketing style guide to ensure brand integrity and high output quality is maintained.
    • Improve existing design outputs.
    • Meet with the Senior Graphic Designer to determine the scope of a project.
    • Create images that identify a service/product.
    • Develop graphics for illustrations, logos, and websites.

  • TAKING OF COMPANY PHOTOS
    • Communicating with clients to set up a time and place for a photoshoot.
    • Maintaining and managing photography equipment.
    • Editing photos.
    • Submitting photos to appropriate persons.
    • Managing photography sessions.

  • COMMUNICATIONS
    • Responsible for weekly and monthly template lay-outs.
    • Responsible for Everlytic lay-outs and sending.
    • Uploading documents onto website/SharePoint.


People:


  • Market the company in a professional manner to clients and prospective clients and maintain sound business relationships with existing clients.
  • Communicate with others in ways that are clear, concise and understandable.
  • Demonstrate ease in relating to a diverse range of people of varying backgrounds, ages, experience and education levels.


Processes:


  • Ensure that the required support is provided in all processes relating to:
    • Marketing
    • Graphic Design.



Technology:


  • Use firm databases, technology and software applications to provide the required support of marketing and proposal requests.
