Our Client is looking for a Junior Engineer to join their team

Purpose of the Role
The Junior Engineer provides technical support to production and engineering projects, ensuring manufacturing processes run efficiently and produce quality products. The role supports process optimization, equipment reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Process Support
- Industrialize and maintain product processes for effective start-ups and sustained operations.
- Gather and analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor operations and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and minimize scrap.
- Ensure equipment is reliable and used effectively in line with production objectives and safety standards.
- Train electrical, setting, and processing teams on best practices and tool usage.
- Assist with implementing new systems or software to enhance productivity.
- Maintain detailed records of work processes, changes, and outcomes.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor and manage inventory of technical supplies and equipment.
- Procure necessary tools and materials as required for projects and daily operations.
Health, Safety & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
- Report hazards, accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
Quality Assurance
- Apply company quality standards in all work processes.
- Maintain GMP compliance across production operations.
Self-Development & Growth
- Continuously assess personal strengths and development needs, taking action to address gaps.
- Stay informed of technical innovations and industry developments.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Experience: 2–5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

- Understanding of technical drawings, equipment testing, and fault finding.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, raw materials, moulds, and downstream equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and administrative skills.
