About the position
DBN000155: JUNIOR COST ACCOUNTANT GROBLERSDAL
Purpose of the Job:
Assisting the finance team by gathering, analysing, and interpreting cost data to manage expenses and enhance profitability.
Required Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (BCom / Diploma)
- CIMA an advantage
- MS Office
- SAGE or similar program experience
- Min 3 years in Cost Accounting role.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Prepare and deliver reports that highlight cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Track inventory levels, perform routine audits, and resolve any discrepancies
- Pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction and collaborate with the operations team to implement efficiency initiatives.
- Remain informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices in cost accounting.
- Reconcile tonnage dispatched with invoiced quantities at month-end to ensure accurate reporting.
- Support the planning, coordination, and completion of stock counts.
- Ensure accurate stock costing aligned with daily manufacturing activities
