The Role: Civil Site Foreman
This role is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site operations across multiple locations. You will lead teams, manage on-site resources, and ensure that project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. The position plays a critical role in workforce planning, team coordination, and overall site performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Site Foreman in civil construction
- Induct and train new employees on-site processes and standards
- Allocate and oversee teams, ensuring clear instructions from the Surveyor are implemented
- Monitor attendance, enforce discipline, and ensure working hours are adhered to
- Conduct weekly planning and track progress against targets, reporting any issues
- Supervise material usage, plant and equipment, and monitor contract costs
- Ensure night watchmen are present and site security is maintained
About You
- 3+ years of civil site supervision experience (roads, paving, bridges or related)
- Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in English and Afrikaans
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle (company bakkie provided for site travel)
- Able to work independently, uphold site standards, and drive team performance
