Psybergate is an IT company that builds bespoke software solutions and provides highly skilled resources to its clients.
We are looking for a Java Developer to join our financial services client based in Sandton.
The Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications within a regulated banking environment.
What you will be doing:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Contribute to solution design, technical specifications, and architectural discussions.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications.
- Work closely with business analysts, testers, and other developers within Agile teams.
- Ensure systems comply with security, performance, and regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in Java development.
- Strong experience with Java, Angular, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
