IT Manager & AI Systems Innovation Lead
Position Overview
We are looking for a forward-thinking and hands-on IT Manager & AI Systems Innovation Lead to oversee and improve all technology systems within our organisation. This role is ideal for a highly skilled IT professional who not only understands networks, infrastructure, software, security, and hospitality systems, but who is also passionate about using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline processes, improve efficiency, enhance guest experiences, and modernise operations across the business.
This person will be responsible for maintaining stable and secure IT operations while driving innovation through automation, AI tools, data analysis, and smart system integration.
Duties and Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Systems Management:
-Manage and maintain all hotel IT systems, servers, networks, Wi-Fi infrastructure, hardware, and software.
-Ensure all systems operate efficiently with minimal downtime.
-Oversee cybersecurity, backups, disaster recovery, and data protection protocols.
-Manage hotel management systems (PMS), POS systems, booking platforms, VOIP, CCTV, access control, and integrations.
-Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff and management.
-Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers.
AI & Digital Innovation:
-Identify opportunities to improve hotel operations using AI and automation.
-Implement AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows, reporting, communication, reservations, guest services, and administration.
-Evaluate and introduce modern technologies to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
-Develop smart reporting dashboards and data-driven operational insights.
-Train staff and management on new systems and AI tools.
-Stay updated on emerging AI technologies relevant to hospitality and business operations.
Process Improvement:
-Analyze current operational processes and recommend technology-based improvements.
-Improve system integration between departments.
-Drive digital transformation initiatives across the business.
-Ensure all systems align with operational goals and guest satisfaction standards.
Requirements
-Proven experience in a senior IT role such as IT Manager, Systems Administrator, or equivalent, with a strong track record of managing IT operations and infrastructure.
-Extensive experience in networking and infrastructure management, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, servers, and system architecture.
-Strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including risk management, data protection, and incident response.
-Proficiency in cloud-based platforms and services, particularly Microsoft 365, as well as system integrations and enterprise IT environments.
-Demonstrated experience in utilizing AI tools and automation technologies to enhance business processes, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
-Working knowledge of AI platforms, workflow automation tools, business intelligence systems, and reporting solutions.
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
-Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee IT projects within timelines and budgets.
-Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to manage teams, engage stakeholders, and provide technical guidance to non-technical users.
-Ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
-Experience in vendor management, including evaluating service providers, negotiating contracts, and comparing product and system options.
-Experience within the hospitality industry and hotel systems (e.g., PMS, POS, booking platforms) will be highly advantageous.
