About the position
The IT Engineer / IT Officer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, both on-premises and cloud-based systems. This role ensures the efficient operation of IT services, provides technical support to users, and assists in the implementation of IT projects. The position reports directly to the Manager of Systems and Support.

RESPONSIBILITES:
System Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT systems, including cloud-based infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform regular updates, backups, and system maintenance tasks.
Technical Support:
- Provide first and second-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to Helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution of technical problems.
- Assist with user training and provide technical guidance as needed.
Network Management:
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cloud-based network services.
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures.
- Monitor network performance and optimize network resources.
Cloud-Based Infrastructure:
- Implement, manage, and support cloud-based systems and services.
- Ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and performance.
IT Projects:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects and initiatives, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
- Collaborate with the IT team to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Document project progress and provide regular updates to the Manager of Systems and Support.
Processes and Reporting:
- Follow established processes for IT system management and support.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, support activities, network status, and cloud infrastructure.
- Provide input for process improvements and report findings to the Manager of Systems and Support.
Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures, including cloud security standards.
- Participate in IT audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Assist in due diligence activities for new technologies and vendors.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 suite and related technologies.
- Experience in managing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and network services.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Microsoft 365 certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
