About the position

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support application patching and packaging processes.
  • Oversee Windows and Microsoft patching to ensure compliance and security.
  • Utilise SCCM and Intune for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with security and IT teams to improve patch management strategies.
  • Diagnosing failed patches, analysing logs, and resolving system conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and vulnerability remediation requirements.

 
Experience:

  • Matric and a Bachelors degree in IT or similar
  • 8+ Years experience with Intune.
  • Expertise in the full lifecycle of application patching and packaging.
  • Knowledge of Windows patching, specifically Microsoft WuFB update processes.
  • Understanding of vulnerability management and remediation processes.

 
Nice to Haves:

  • PowerShell Scripting for automation, patch deployment, and reporting.
  • Reporting and Analytics ability to extract and analyse patching data using tools like Power BI or Excel.
  • Experience with NinjaOne or a similar RMM tool for remote patch management and monitoring.
  • Experience with PatchMyPC (patching third party applications)
