About the position
A well-established company in the technical products and solutions industry is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Internal Sales Consultant to join their Gqeberha branch. This role is ideal for someone with strong sales administration skills, excellent client service abilities, and experience in a technical sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers telephonically, digitally, and across the sales counter
- Respond to customer enquiries via online platforms and communication channels
- Conduct daily cold calling and maintain an updated customer database
- Prepare accurate quotations, process orders, and maintain customer information
- Follow up on open quotations and orders to ensure completion
- Identify sales opportunities and recommend suitable products and solutions
- Capture and process customer orders accurately on internal systems
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams regarding stock availability and dispatch
- Provide product information, marketing material, and sales support to clients and external sales representatives
- Conduct product demonstrations and assist with basic technical support
- Maintain daily sales and operational reports
- Assist with trade shows, exhibitions, product launches, open days, and client functions
- Attend daily branch meetings and contribute to operational and sales discussions
- Ensure training materials and product documentation are current and adequately stocked
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and efficient service
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational standards at all times
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical sales or internal sales environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Computer literate with good MS Office skills
- Experience working on SAP and/or ZOHO CRM advantageous
- Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime when required
