LEGAL ADVISOR
PRETORIA (LYNNWOOD)
Our client within the financial planning and investment services is seeking a bilingual Legal Advisor with an LLB degree.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of estate administration and, preferably, experience in trust registration. This role involves managing the full estate administration process within a dynamic corporate environment.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
- Bilingual non-negotiable.
- Admitted Attorney (advantageous).
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the Administration of Estates Act, Trust Property Control Act, and Companies Act.
- Strong understanding of estate duty, tax implications, and fiduciary law.
- Exceptional drafting skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage deceased estates from start to finish, ensuring seamless administration from reporting the estate to final distribution.
- Handle all processes including Master’s office submissions, liquidation and distribution accounts, and estate duty compliance.
- Draft and execute wills with attention to legal and client-specific nuances.
- Register and manage inter vivos and testamentary trusts in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Draft and review internal compliance documentation in line with financial and regulatory standards.
- Support the compliance department with legal insight and ensure adherence to applicable legislation (FICA, FAIS, POPIA, etc.).
- Assist with drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, including buy-and-sell agreements, sale of shares, MOIs, and shareholder agreements.
- Offer transactional support for structuring and reviewing deals from a legal perspective.
