About the position
Operational Compliance: Ensure all health and safety requirements are observed and operate in the process area according to working instructions.
- Ink Management: Check ink conformance, maintain ink during the printing process, and return buckets correctly.
- Quality Control: Carry out quality checks for each ink batch per job specification and replace dirty colour standards using signed references from customers.
- Technical Oversight: Inspect and calibrate production equipment and understand regulations related to the corrugated printing process.
- Technical Knowledge of Corrugated Flexographic Printing Equipment: - Possess a solid technical understanding of corrugated printing machines (flexographic printers), including their ink systems, anilox rollers, doctor blade setups, drying systems, plate mounting, and substrate handling. Be able to interpret machine specifications such as anilox volume (BCM), line screen, impression settings, and press speed, and understand how these variables influence ink laydown, colour strength, print quality, and drying
- Reporting: Record deviations, log waste in non-conformance sheets for review, and escalate non-conformances to the team leader.
- Workplace Standards: Perform housekeeping at assigned areas and participate in team talks to share suggestions for process improvement.
