About the position
Our client, a leading Textile Manufacturing company based in Durban, is looking to fill the position of Independent Sales Administrator.
Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for ensuring the timely execution of all independent orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure trims/packaging is received well in advance.
- Ensure cut sheets are raised in advance.
- Communicate and escalate any delays or issues to the relevant persons.
- Contribute to updating relevant information on online schedules (production schedule and outwork tracker).
- Deal with sales and customer queries in a timely and professional manner .
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of orders.
- Manage customer order requirements, ensure product availability, and address any order discrepancies or issues.
- Provide comprehensive follow-ups on all orders, from initiation to execution.
- Track order progress, manage delivery schedules, and liaise with logistics team to ensure timely delivery.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding order status, delivery updates, and any issues related to their orders.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Assist the sales team in preparing sales reports, presentations, and quotations.
- Support sales promotions with administrative duties, ensuring all goods are available and up to date.
- Provide product information and assist in pricing discussions with customers, ensuring accurate details are communicated.
- Follow up on all samples and seals.
- Ensure that all sales documents, including purchase orders, requisitions, invoices and proof of delivery (POD), are properly filed and accessible.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and inventory status.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to monitor stock on hand and ensure that all orders are fulfilled according to customer specifications.
- Provide feedback to the sales team about stock levels and potential product shortages.
- Prepare reports for the sales team to evaluate sales performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, guidelines, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Any other duties that may be delegated by the relevant manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Relevant industry experience
