About the position

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This role is 100% inbound sales, with no cold calling required. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inbound enquiries, assessing client storage and logistics needs, preparing accurate quotes, and coordinating logistics planning between clients and internal teams.

This is a target-driven, incentive-based position with a progressive commission structure that rewards increased monthly sales performance. The role requires strong independence, discipline, and excellent communication skills.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, and Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00. Overtime may be required from time to time, including occasional Sunday work during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Engagement:

  • Handle all inbound sales enquiries via phone, email, and CRM platforms.
  • Consult with clients to understand their storage and logistics requirements.
  • Prepare and send professional, accurate quotes tailored to client needs.
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings by providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage a minimum of 10-15 active email leads per day and 10 inbound calls.

CRM & Follow-Ups:

  • Accurately capture and manage all leads, quotes, and client interactions on the CRM system.
  • Use CRM automation tools to manage follow-ups, reminders, and pipeline movement.
  • Ensure consistent and timely follow-ups to maximize conversion rates.

Logistics Planning & Coordination:

  • Plan and coordinate storage logistics once a booking is confirmed.
  • Communicate clearly with warehouse, operations, and transport teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Liaise with clients regarding timelines, access, delivery, collections, and special requirements.
  • Ensure all logistical details are correctly documented and communicated.

Administration & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of quotes, bookings, and sales performance.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets linked to commission incentives.
  • Use Microsoft Excel for basic tracking, reporting, and data management.

Key Requirements:
Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years proven sales experience (inbound or consultative sales preferred).
  • Strong understanding of logistics planning and coordination.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly motivated, target-driven, and commission-focused.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, including automation and follow-up tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple leads, clients, and tasks simultaneously.

***Basic Salary - R15,000 + Commission ranges from R4,000 (min targets met) to as much as R33,000 in good months (Negotiable, based on skills, experience and in relation to current package)
