About the position
An independent manufacturer specializing in corrugated products and tailor-made packaging solutions is seeking a strategic Group IT Manager to lead their technology function across all sites. This role is pivotal in aligning our IT infrastructure and systems with the company’s growth objectives, ensuring operational excellence, and driving digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a Group-wide IT strategy aligned with business goals; provide regular reporting on performance, risks, and ROI to senior management.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee all networks, servers, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and communication systems across multiple sites.
- Operational Integration: Ensure seamless system integration across production, logistics, finance, and sales.
- Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to enhance automation, production efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
- Security & Compliance: Maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and ensure strict compliance with POPIA and data protection standards.
- Business Continuity: Manage disaster recovery, data backup, and contingency planning.
- Financial Oversight: Manage IT budgeting, procurement, and vendor relationships to ensure scalable, cost-effective solutions.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Leadership: Minimum 5 years in IT management, with 3+ years in a senior or Group-level role.
- Industry Context: Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
- Technical Depth: Proven expertise in networking, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Systems: Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations and production-related technologies.
- Governance: Strong working knowledge of IT governance frameworks and project management methodologies.
