About the position
A leading retailing and distribution group based in Namibia requires the above to integrity lead the digital transformation, technology innovation, and IT operations across the group. Operating in a retail, manufacturing and distribution environment, the CTIO ensures that technological infrastructure, systems, and digital capabilities align with business objectives-driving operational efficiency, supporting growth, enhancing customer experiences, and maintaining robust cybersecurity and data.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in computer science or information systems or engineering, or a related field is preferred for the role.
- Previous experience having worked in a senior management role at executive or group level leading a team and strategically driving leading ERP implementations, digital transformation, and system integrations.
- Previous experience having worked within a retail or distribution or manufacturing or supply chain or related environment is essential.
- Proven track record in leading ERP implementations, digital transformation, and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, production it systems, and e-commerce technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver business value through strategic use of technology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the digital transformation, technology innovation, and IT operations across the group. - Setting objectives and strategies for information and technology resources as well as selecting and implementing scalable ERP Systems and ensuring integration with all departments within the group.
- Implementing suitable technology to optimize strategic benefits within the group.
- Analysing costs, value and risks of information technology as well as building quality assurance and data protection processes.
- Providing advice, research, recommendations, and guidance for emerging technology such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital transformation, data science and big data.
- Advising and addressing matters on cyber security, privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Engaging divisional executives on scope, strategy, service performance, engagement deliverables, and progress updates on ICT matters.
- Driving digital transformation initiatives to streamline all departments and operations within the group.
- Overseeing infrastructure, software applications, networks, and cybersecurity across all companies within the group.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
- Guiding the development of e-commerce platforms collaborating with all senior management and leaders to align technology with operational needs through out the group.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
