About the position
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day IT support to staff across design, production, warehousing, and administration.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of hardware (PCs, handheld scanners, printers, sewing machine interfaces, RFID/barcode readers).
- Support ERP/MES (Enterprise Resource Planning / Manufacturing Execution Systems) used for production planning, inventory, and quality control.
- Monitor and maintain network connectivity between manufacturing floors, offices, and warehouses.
- Troubleshoot issues with specialized manufacturing software (e.g., CAD for apparel, PLM systems, pattern design applications).
- Assist in rolling out IT projects, including digital transformation initiatives, IoT devices on factory floor, and system upgrades.
- Support data collection and reporting from production systems for management decision-making.
- Maintain documentation of IT assets, support logs, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide user training and guidance on IT systems, especially for manufacturing staff with limited technical background.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Internship or project experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is advantageous, but not required.
- Knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Office, and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, RFID, or IoT systems would be beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of IT fundamentals (networking, hardware, software, databases).
- Basic knowledge of ERP, PLM, or CAD software is advantageous.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Keen interest in technology applications within manufacturing.
- Team player with willingness to learn and adapt.
