About the position

Introduction

Responsible for loading and unloading vehicles and moving it to staging areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of stock and moving received stock to the staging area.
• Movement and stacking of empty Chep and other pallets.
• Assisting with stock takes if required to lift other employees using the man-cages using the required safety gear.
• Assisting with active putaways when required by moving stock into active locations with a pallet jack.
• Conducting daily safety checks before operating material handling equipment.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Successful completion of the aspiration programme
• Any lawful and reasonable instruction.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 and experience in a similar role
• Valid driving certification to operate forklifts a requirement
• At least 3 years' experience operating a forklift.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge an advantage.
