FinOps Engineer

About the position

Qualification

• Strong experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms and their cost management services.
• Deep understanding of pricing models including On-demand, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Spot.
• Practical FinOps, cloud financial management, or cloud governance experience; familiarity with FinOps Foundation principles preferred.
• Experience implementing tagging strategies and cost allocation models for accurate chargeback and showback.
• Proven ability to build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel and to handle large cost datasets (e.g., AWS CUR, Azure exports).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with third-party FinOps tools such as CloudHealth, Cloudability, or Finout is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence engineering and business teams.
• Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner, Azure, or AWS certifications are advantageous.
