Must have experience with Group Consolidations & Group Reporting
This role involves financial reporting, operations, planning, organizing, directing,
and controlling financial activities, including procurement and utilization of company funds. The Financial Manager will play a crucial role in the consolidation of company and group finances, ensuring accurate and compliant financial statements
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, IFS for SMES, and relevant legislation
- Produce high-standard financial accounting and reporting.
- Complete monthly trial balance management and meet all financial reporting deadlines.
- Prepare IFRS-compliant annual financial statements and interim financials.
- Participate in annual audit preparations and liaise with external auditors.
- Implement audit recommendations and strive for a clean audit report.
- Provide accounting advice and prepare monthly flash reports and quarterly consolidated cash flows
- Lead the end-to-end consolidation process for the group.
- Prepare accurate consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Review and validate consolidation adjustments and stay updated with IFS changes.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and forecast reports.
- Analyse month reports and resolve queries with respective business units.
- Contribute to the annual organizational budget and manage expenditure within approved parameters.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Support the GFM in managing the insurance portfolio and implementing risk management policies.
- Ensure internal controls are effective and support the internal audit function.
- Support the automation of financial reporting processes.
- Assist in managing debt and ensure compliance with lender requirements.
- Approve Invoices and ensure timely payment of expenses.
- Manage cash to ensure timely payment or taxes and other expenses.
- Develop and ensure adherence to sound business processes, internal controls, and policies.
- Report to the Audit and Risk Committee and assist with Board preparations.
- Participate in improving financial reporting capabilities and ensuring effective governance.
- Provide required information to the Tax Manager to ensure tax compliance.
- Support the GF & CFO in positioning the Finance Team as a Business Partner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
- CA(SA) or equivalent qualification, an advantage
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance (Post Articles).
- Must have experience with Group Consolidations & Group Reporting
