A leading agricultural company specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of pesticides, fertilizers, and related agricultural products requires the above to drive business growth and profitability by providing insights, data-driven analysis, and strategic recommendations.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A BComm financial or management accounting qualification is essential for this role.
- Previous experience having worked within a commercial, financial, or business analyst role, preferably within the agricultural, or related markets is preferred for the role.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and data visualisation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Knowledge of the agricultural industry, particularly crop protection, fertilisers, and related products is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance short-term performance and long-term growth strategies.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving business growth and profitability by providing insights, data-driven analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer behaviours within the agricultural sector.
- Supporting decision-making processes by evaluating sales performance, identifying new opportunities, and optimising commercial strategies to ensure sustainable growth in the manufacturing and distribution of pesticides, fertilisers, and related agricultural products.
- Analysing income and financial performance reports with high precision.
- Building and maintaining sales dashboards and reports to track product growth and profitability.
- Identifying revenue opportunities, sales trends, and risk factors.
- Conducting market research on biologicals, bio stimulants, crop protection products, adjuvants, and biofertilizers.
- Benchmarking pricing, product combinations, and active ingredients used globally.
- Mapping market trends and competitor positioning to guide product development and strategy.
- Monitoring global regulatory and industry shifts impacting biologicals and sustainable agriculture.
- Collecting, processing and analysing raw datasets from trial data across multiple regions and crops.
- Integrating global trial datasets into a single platform for comparative analysis.
- Identifying product performance trends and opportunities across geographies.
- Managing and tracking cases in internal systems (e.g., salesforce) to support operational workflows.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and R&D teams to align commercial objectives with product development and distribution strategies.
