As an Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the financial management of property portfolios while ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and financial control. You will work closely with property managers, operational stakeholders, and senior finance professionals to ensure the smooth running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Managing month-end processes, journals, and reconciliations
• Maintaining general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Supporting annual audit processes and statutory compliance
• Managing financial transactions relating to property portfolios
• Assisting with tenant account reconciliations and recoveries
• Monitoring property-related income and expenditure
• Supporting lease and property accounting processes
• Working closely with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Maintaining strong financial controls and governance procedures
• Assisting with VAT and statutory submissions
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Supporting process improvements and reporting efficiencies

Job Experience and Skills Required

• BCom Accounting or Finance
• 1–2 years' property accounting experience
• Retail property exposure highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience with property management systems advantageous
• Strong reporting and financial administration capability
