Our client operates at serious scale with a national footprint and nonstop movement across the business. They’re looking for a Financial Accountant who can handle pressure, manage complexity and stay sharp when deadlines start flying. You’ll work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, taking ownership of reporting, reconciliations, payroll oversight and branch financial performance across approximately 96 branches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage financial reporting across multiple branches and business units
• Review consolidated and branch-level income statements
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
• Lead year-end audit processes and reporting requirements
• Oversee payroll controls, reconciliations, and reporting
• Manage weekly and monthly payment runs
• Handle insurance claims from incident through to settlement
• Lead and support the creditors, payroll, and bookkeeping teams

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Completed SAIPA articles preferred
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role
• Strong personality with the ability to handle pressure and large workloads
• Comfortable managing stakeholders across operational environments
• Strong reconciliation, reporting and analytical skills
• FMCG or high-volume industry exposure highly beneficial
