About the position
Control the full finance function up to Trial Balance, ensuring accurate reporting, statutory compliance, strong ledger control and support to the Finance Manager.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- BCom Accounting Honours or similar
- CA or CIMA qualification with completed articles preferred
- 3-5 years accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment, multinational company experience is advantageous
- Practical knowledge of IFRS, tax legislation and VAT
- Strong ERP system experience (SAP or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, reporting)
Key Performance Areas:
- Control of full general ledger and accounts up to Trial Balance
- Month-end close, balance sheet integrity and financial reporting
- VAT calculations, reconciliations and submissions to SARS
- Tax compliance support and year-end schedules
- Bank, cash, creditors and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals, provisions, journals and fixed asset register control
- Supervision of creditors and expense compliance
- Cost and expense analysis with management reporting
- ERP system accuracy, controls and audit readiness
- Support to Finance Manager across audits and financial processes
