This new hospitality arm of a renowned property developer is rapidly expanding, this is a new position which will provide a career-defining role enabling you to implement systems and processes aligned with global best practice. What you will be doing:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, processes, and daily operations across all properties.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders, providing key variance analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements, including tax and labor legislation, while also managing financial audits.
- Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for the entire property portfolio and monitor performance against them.
- Oversee the accurate management of owner statements, payouts, and guest-related financial transactions.
- Take full ownership of payroll processing and compliance, with a plan to transition into this responsibility over time.
- Utilize Xero and actively seek opportunities to implement automation and a scalable finance structure.
- Lead the financial function, highlight risks and opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the overall business.
What our client is looking for:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting, Finance, etc.)
- 5+ years' experience in finance management, ideally within the hospitality, property, or short-term rental sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience managing payroll and statutory compliance is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a process-driven mindset.
