Hluhluwe - Step into the adventure of a lifetime at a conservation-focused safari lodge. As a Farm & Safari Lodge Manager, you’ll turn your hands on skills into unforgettable guest experiences, leading maintenance, repairs, and lodge operations every day.
Our client is looking for a Farm & Lodge Manager who leads infrastructure upkeep, property maintenance, and safety compliance at a self-catering safari lodge within the iconic Hluhluwe area. You will ensure all facilities are in excellent condition and ready for guests, while managing maintenance personnel and aligning day-to-day tasks with operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on maintenance and repair of lodge facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
- Oversee building projects and lodge upgrades from planning to completion
- Manage a small maintenance team and coordinate external contractors when needed
- Ensure all facilities are guest-ready and comply with safety regulations
- Basic first aid provision and adherence to health & safety protocols
- Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles (including TLB operation or equivalent)

Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Proven experience in building, construction, and property maintenance
- Hospitality or lodge management experience, especially in remote or safari settings, highly desirable
- Practical skills in electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs
- Basic first aid certification
- TLB or equivalent machinery operation license
- Knowledge of animals and wildlife safety protocols
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Own vehicle
Remuneration & Benefits
- Basic Salary: R12,000 – R15,000 per month (depending on experience)
- Accommodation: Unfurnished on-site accommodation (meals not included)
