External Sales Representative

About the position

Location: Milnerton, Western Cape

Position Overview
An opportunity has become available within the company for an experienced and reliable External Sales Representative. This role will drive revenue by proactively prospecting, visiting clients and closing deals within a defined territory. This field-based role requires a self-starter with excellent relationship building, negotiation and product knowledge skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-Business Development: Actively prospect, cold-call, and secure new customers to expand the company’s market share.
-Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts through regular site visits and personalized service.
-Sales Presentations: Conduct face-to-face meetings and product demonstrations to educate clients on features and financial benefits.
-Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals and meet monthly/annual sales targets.
-Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to adapt sales strategies.
-Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all leads and customer interactions in a CRM system, and submit regular sales activity and pipeline reports
-Contribute to periodic management reports on stock, cash flow and cost control.

Required Skills & Qualifications
-3-5 years of proven external sales experience
-Grade 12 (Matric)
-Valid driver’s license and vehicle essential
-Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
-Highly motivated and target-driven
-Proficient in Microsoft suite and CRM Software
