About the position
DBN000258 - External Sales Consultant (Manufacturing) - Midrand
Purpose of the Job:
To accomplish predetermined business goals by efficiently managing selected key accounts, goods, and industries by overseeing and managing every facet of the supply chain, including order receipt, customer processing and expediting, and in-person customer site visits.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of matric / Grade 12
- Literate on MS Office /Excel/Powerpoint/ Outlook
- Proficiency on SAP will be an advantage
- Tertiary certificate / Diploma / Degree in sales and marketing - advantageous
- Min 5 years’ experience in a sales / similar position
- A solid understanding of board and timber-related items is crucial.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Plan and carry out sales efforts in accordance with KPAs and sales goals. Responding to phone calls and providing quotes
- Secure sales, respond to and follow up on sales inquiries.
- Upselling possibilities, such as sharing new product developments.
- Keep an eye on rival and market activity, report on it, and offer pertinent data.
- Send and submit quotes in accordance with corporate policy and with accurate pricing.
- Arrange for frequent visits
- Expand our offerings to all targeted accounts.
- Maintain and develop business relationships with existing customers and suppliers
