Expeditor

About the position

A well- established Logistics Company on the East rand of Johannesburg seeks a Expeditor.
Key Responsibilities 

• Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery of goods.
• Monitor shipments and maintain accurate delivery schedules and order records on SAP and tracking systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers, transport providers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding shipment status, delivery dates, and any delays.
• Resolve procurement and delivery-related issues including shortages, damaged goods, incorrect shipments, and delays.
• Ensure all shipping and customs documentation is completed accurately for local and international deliveries.
• Maintain strong supplier and client relationships to support efficient operations and service delivery.
• Prepare and update expediting, tracking, and administrative reports.
• Ensure compliance with company QMS, SHE, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with additional operational tasks when required.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in:
  • Procurement
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Commerce
  • Logistics or related field
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in:
  • Logistics
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement
  • Expediting or similar operational role
  
  


• Experience working with shipping documentation and customs regulations for international shipments.


• Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
