A well-known global leader in the corporate real estate industry, providing flexible workplace solutions for a variety of clients, requires the above to support the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events across the company’s various locations.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- The successful candidate must have a matric with a 1-year minimum certificate, diploma or qualification.
- An events management or related qualification is preferred but is not essential.
- Previous experience having worked within the events, hospitality, or customer service markets is preferred for this role.
- The company is happy to train a graduate with no work experience into this role.
- Must be computer literate with good MS Office skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills as the successful candidate will be liaising with customers.
- Must be able to work as part of a cohesive team building relationships both internally with colleagues and customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Events Food and Beverage Manager supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events across the company’s various locations.
- Supporting set-up and breakdown of event spaces, including furniture, décor, AV equipment, and catering.
- Ensuring all event logistics are executed according to the event brief and timeline.
- Assisting with coordination of a variety of suppliers including catering, décor, photographers, and entertainment etc.
- Responding to basic event queries including availability, event details, booking processes, and general information in line with WeWork standards.
- Assisting with event scheduling by capturing requests accurately and coordinating with the Events Manager for confirmation and approval.
- Managing and maintaining RSVP lists, ensuring all attendee information is correctly recorded and updated in a timely manner.
- Maintaining event calendars and ensuring they are up to date across all relevant platforms to ensure accuracy and visibility for internal teams.
- Maintaining clear and organised internal tracking documents for all events, including enquiries, bookings, and status updates.
- Supporting post-event administration by compiling attendance records, basic feedback summaries, and key event outcomes.
- Escalating complex or high-priority queries to the Events Manager or relevant stakeholder when required.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
