About the position
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced self-starter End User Computing (EUC) Specialist to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of desktop environments across SA and Africa Shared Services. This role is ideal for a hands-on SCCM expert with strong Group Policy and Intune experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the Global Desktop image in line with global standards and business needs.
- Manage Group Policies (GPO) and AGPM for Client Company SA provide escalation support for Africa Shared Services.
- Administer and deploy SCCM components: software, patching, collections, and compliance reporting.
- Support and manage Microsoft Intune: policy creation, device compliance, and second-level support.
- Provide 3rd-level support for core desktop applications (Microsoft 365, Acrobat, Edge Chromium, etc.).
- Ensure endpoint security compliance, including antivirus updates and remediation via Intune.
Skills & Experience
Minimum: Matric; Preferred: Relevant IT/Tertiary qualification.
Proven hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft SCCM (OSD, Task Sequences, Client Deployment, Patching)
- Group Policy Management (including AGPM)
- Microsoft Intune and Office 365
- PowerShell/Windows Scripting
Strong knowledge of:
- Active Directory, DNS, and ITIL concepts (Change, Incident, Problem Management)
- Experience supporting business-critical applications at 2nd/3rd level in a medium to large enterprise.
- Excellent documentation skills (technical manuals, KB articles).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of the organisation.
Additional experience
- Leadership in technical areas while being a collaborative team player.
- Experience in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
- Familiarity with endpoint analytics and performance optimisation.
