About the Opportunity
An established organisation based in Isando, Kempton Park is looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Administrator to join its payroll and HR function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented HR/Benefits professional who enjoys working with people, managing processes and ensuring employee benefit claims are handled accurately and efficiently from submission through to resolution.
The successful candidate will work closely with employees, payroll, fund administrators and other external stakeholders to ensure a professional and seamless benefits administration service.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Manage the full employee benefits claims cycle from submission through to completion.
- Ensure all claims are accurately completed and submitted within required deadlines.
- Process Pension and Provident Fund withdrawals.
- Administer Death, Disability and Funeral Benefit claims.
- Process and follow up on WCA / COID claims.
- Handle Medical Aid queries and benefit changes.
- Respond to employee benefit queries and provide professional assistance to employees.
- Liaise with internal departments, fund administrators and external stakeholders to resolve queries.
- Work closely with the Payroll Manager on quality control, concerns and process improvements.
- Perform relevant functions on VIP Premier Payroll.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and filing.
- Ensure all employee information is handled with a high level of confidentiality.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable taking ownership of the benefits administration process.
You should have:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- A recognised HR qualification will be advantageous.
- 3–5 years' experience in Employee Benefits Administration.
- A sound understanding of applicable labour legislation, particularly the BCEA.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefit claims and processes.
- Experience with VIP Premier Payroll will be advantageous.
- Experience within the Road Freight / Logistics industry and knowledge of the NBCRFLI will be advantageous.
- Practical knowledge of COID / WCA claims.
- Experience with COMPEASY will be advantageous.
- Experience with the Sanlam STeP portal will be advantageous.
