About the position
Southern Wind Shipyard is looking to employ a Technical Co-ordinator specialising in Electric and Electronic systems. The successfull candidate will be responsible for supporting the existing technical co-ordinators in this division to develop and implement systems such as hydraulic equipment, electrics, low and high voltage, diesel electric propulsion and integration of systems within the interior. Responsibilities will also include review of supplier schematics, co-ordination of component selection and management of subcontractor orders and delivery sequencing. The Technical Co-ordinator also assists with sea trials and identification and resolution of project bottlenecks. Ensuring specifications adhere to maritime regulations is critical.
Desired Skills:
- 5 years plus experience working in the field within a yacht building environment is essential
- Recognised yachting qualification is an advantage
- Super yachts working experience of onboard systems is an advantage ( electrical and electronic PLC systems

- refrigeration
- Experience in high voltage systems and diesel electric propulsion is an advantage
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime and to deadline
