The company is looking for a motivated and proactive Developer who takes initiative and enjoys solving complex problems.
The ideal candidate will have strong PHP experience, a keen interest in cybersecurity, and a drive to automate.
Your primary focus will be on maintaining and securing the companies Cloud environments, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, and improving overall system security.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, patch, and remediate vulnerabilities within PHP-based applications.
- Secure and automate management tasks in Cloud environments.
- Collaborate with teams to implement secure coding practices.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts.
- Regularly conduct security assessments and document findings clearly and concisely.
- Take initiative to recommend and implement security improvements.
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in PHP development.
- Experience or familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud, focusing on security configurations.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
- Ability to independently research and apply new security technologies.
Advantageous:
- Certifications or training in cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, CISSP, Cloud Security certifications).
- Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or regulated industry (HIPAA, POPIA).
- Experience conducting penetration testing or vulnerability assessments.
Experience Level:
- Intermediate (2–5 years relevant experience)
