About the position
What You'll Do:
Depot Operations
- Lead and manage the daily running of the depot, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Supervise team members, coordinate schedules, and oversee workflow.
- Manage receiving, storage, and dispatch of fuel products efficiently.
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records.
- Ensure all operational data is captured and reported within deadlines.
- Oversee fuel deliveries to customers and at the Germiston depot.
- Be available for after-hours operational support when required.
Sales & Client Management
- Grow and maintain a network of commercial customers for fuel and lubricant products.
- Identify new business opportunities and follow up on leads.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring excellent service.
- Attend industry events, client meetings, and tender briefings when required.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 6 years in depot management or petroleum industry operations.
- Proven track record in sales or business development.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean record.
- Clear background checks.
