Credit Control Supervisor

 
A well-established company in the FMCG sector is seeking an experienced and dynamic Credit Control Supervisor to join their team in the Durban area.
 
Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree in Finance, Accounting, Credit Management, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a supervisory or management position within the financial sector.
• Previous FMCG industry experience is non-negotiable.
• Clear criminal record.
• Proven experience in credit control and debt collection management.
• Excellent supervisory, leadership, and people management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when handling financial records.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the Credit Control Department.
• Oversee all operational aspects relating to credit control and accounts receivable.
• Manage banking processes and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
• Prepare and analyse age analysis reports and take appropriate action on overdue accounts.
• Compile and review daily Accounts Receivable (AR) consolidated reports.
• Ensure customer statements are accurately prepared and distributed timeously.
• Monitor debtors' accounts and implement effective collection strategies.
• Ensure accurate financial record keeping and reporting.
• Liaise with internal departments and customers to resolve account queries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls.
• Perform additional duties related to the credit control function as required.
