We are seeking an experienced Manager: Corporate Strategy & Business Planning to play a pivotal role in driving corporate strategy, developing the annual corporate plan, and ensuring alignment of strategic priorities across the organisation.
This is a critical leadership role with direct impact on organisational positioning and performance.
Lead the development of the corporate plan, setting clear strategic priorities for the upcoming financial year.
Collaborate with senior leaders across departments to integrate insights and innovative practices into corporate strategy.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track delivery of strategic objectives.
Support the preparation of the Integrated Annual Report and submissions to external stakeholders.
Work at peer level with other departmental heads, fostering cross-functional alignment and teamwork.
Proven experience in strategy development (not just monitoring & evaluation).
Strong ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable corporate plans.
Solid exposure to corporate reporting requirements, preferably within regulated industries.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board level.
A track record of delivering within tight deadlines, as this role is critical in meeting organisational commitments by December and beyond.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Economics, Financial Management, or related field (essential).
Postgraduate qualification in Strategy, Business Administration, or related discipline (advantageous).
Minimum 5 years' experience in strategy formulation, corporate/business planning, and strategy execution.
Proven track record in developing corporate plans and strategy documents for senior executive and/or board-level audiences.
Experience in performance monitoring and reporting (e.g., corporate scorecards, annual and quarterly reporting), ideally within a regulated or financial services environment.
Exposure to integrated annual reporting and shareholder reporting requirements (advantageous).
Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders, including senior executives and external bodies (e.g., regulators, government).
Strong expertise in strategy development (not only monitoring & evaluation).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with planning and performance management software (advantageous).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking abilities.
Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to executive audiences.
