Business Development Manager (Office Interior and Furniture)

About the position

Are you a highly motivated and experienced B2B sales professional with a passion for interior design and office furniture? A leading company in the office furniture sector is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. This isn't a retail position; you will be a key player in a project-based environment, focused on expanding the client base and nurturing existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities through targeted prospecting.
• Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of existing clients.
• Deliver compelling presentations to effectively communicate design concepts, project plans, and product specifications to clients.
• Prepare detailed costings and quotations for both custom and standard furniture solutions.
• Oversee and manage project orders from the initial concept through to successful completion.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure project requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.
• Stay current on product information, technical specifications, and market trends within the office furniture industry.

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in the office furniture industry.
• Strong B2B sales and communication skills.
• Proven ability to present and articulate design and project information to clients.
• Experience with project management and order administration.
• A solid understanding of furniture products, materials, and technical details.
• You must reside in the West Rand or Southern Johannesburg area.

Compensation

Basic Salary: R20,000 - R40,000 per month, based on experience.

High Incentives: A competitive commission structure based on sales targets and project completion.
