About the position
DBN000253 - Bookkeeper – Medical – Cape Town (City Bowl Region)
Purpose of the job:
This full-service bookkeeping position spans two linked businesses. Responsible for keeping correct records, guaranteeing compliance, and providing assurance that the financials are accurate & up to date
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of solid bookkeeping and/or accounting experience in a full-function role.
- Strong reconciliation skills and a fanatical attention to detail.
- Experience working with multiple entities is advantageous.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Proficient in Zoho Books (or confident learning it quickly, with prior cloud-accounting experience).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivot tables).
- Solid grasp of accounting principles and local financial regulations.
- Previous experience running payroll (essential), ideally on Karbon Pay or similar.
- Comfortable handling cash, confidential data and sensitive information with the utmost integrity.
Behavioural Competencies:
- First class communication skills
- A strong communicator and proactive team player
- Exceptionally organised and reliable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Confidentiality, discretion, and integrity is critical
- Comfortable in a predominantly female, high-energy clinical team.
