About the client:
Our client believes that properties need attentive, hands-on management led by experts who know each property in detail. They keep their property managers' portfolios manageable, allowing them to fully understand every property, anticipate guest needs, and respond to inquiries with confidence. Their approach is investor-centered, with a focus on delivering a strong return on investment. From cost-efficient spending to international marketing efforts aimed at increasing direct bookings, each decision is made with client goals in mind.
What you will be doing:
- Manages daily financial operations (bank reconciliations, Xero allocations).
- Oversees accurate and timely invoicing/statements, manages supplier bills and payment runs, handles outstanding payments, and performs month-end procedures (balance checks, journal adjustments, reports).
- Supports payroll setup and execution (training provided).
- Identifies and implements process improvements, explores add-ons (Dext, Hubdoc, ApprovalMax), and documents workflows.
- Works autonomously but supported by a Chartered Accountant for guidance and an office manager for information/transactions.
What our client is looking for:
- Proficient in Xero (bank rules, reconciliations, repeating invoices).
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Manages high transaction volume with accuracy under pressure.
- Competent in Google Sheets/Excel for basic checks and summaries.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Airbnb/Booking.com payouts, property management systems, or basic SA VAT/payroll knowledge would be beneficial.
