About the position
Bond Secretary – Conveyancing Department
We are seeking a Bond Secretary with strong conveyancing expertise to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to bond registrations across all major banks (Standard Bank, ABSA, FNB, Nedbank, African Bank).
- Assist with Deceased Estate Transfers.
- Work independently under attorney supervision to resolve queries and manage processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in conveyancing.
- Solid working knowledge of home loan mortgage bonds for at least 2 banks.
- Willingness to learn bond processes for additional banks.
- In-depth knowledge of property and conveyancing law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage deadlines.

- Familiarity with:
- Lexis Convey / E4
- Storedoc
- nCino (Docfox)
- Legalsuite Accounting Software
- Searchworks
Working Conditions
- Office-based only (no remote work).
- Hours: 08h00 – 16h30
