The Role: Assistant Store Manager Somerset Mall
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and driving sales performance. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can motivate a team, resolve challenges, and consistently deliver strong results while maintaining brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and staff leadership
• Manage scheduling, staff rotations, and operational planning
• Monitor and drive sales performance to achieve KPIs and targets
• Coach, mentor, and support team members to improve performance
• Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation to brand standards
• Resolve customer queries while ensuring exceptional service delivery
• Foster a positive, motivated, and accountable team culture

About You

• Minimum 3 years of retail supervisory or management experience
• Matric certificate required; additional retail/management qualifications advantageous
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage teams
• Confident in handling staff performance management and conflict resolution
• Goal-driven with the ability to monitor and achieve KPIs
• Detail-focused, reliable, and resilient under pressure
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays (5 working days per week with 1 guaranteed weekend off per month)
