About the position
A premium retail fashion and lifestyle brand is looking for a driven, energetic and sales-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the daily running of the store. This role is ideal for a strong retail sales person who is ready to take on more responsibility, support team performance, assist with store operations and contribute to achieving sales targets.
The successful candidate must be confident, accountable, mature, hands-on and able to lead by example on the sales floor.
There are 2 positions available 1 in Cresta and 1 in Vaal
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with daily store operations.
- Assist in driving sales and achieving store performance targets.
- Help motivate and support team members to maintain a positive working environment.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.
- Ensure customers receive a professional, helpful and premium in-store experience.
- Maintain store standards, housekeeping and visual presentation.
- Support operational processes, reporting and store administration.
- Assist with team accountability and sales-floor discipline.
- Step into a leadership role when required.
- Lead by example through strong sales behaviour, energy and customer service.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' retail management or assistant management experience.
- Proven track record in achieving sales results.
- Strong sales experience is essential.
- Experience in fashion, lifestyle, footwear, accessories, premium retail or customer-facing retail environments would be advantageous.
- Ability to support, guide and motivate a retail team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work retail / mall trading hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Good stock awareness and operational discipline.
The ideal candidate will be someone that is adaptable, learns fast and takes direction well as well as someone that is confident, ambitious, honest, energetic and accountable.
