Assistant Silo Manager

About the position

Location: Clocolan (Free State)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing silo operations in line with budget targets
• Support the management and development of personnel
• Assist in maintaining high levels of customer service
• Ensure sound financial practices and controls within the division
• Oversee silo-related administrative functions

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 4 years' experience in a grain/silo environment
• Completed Fumigation Course
• Completed Grain Grading Courses
• Previous experience in effective supervision and/or staff management
• Experience in budget and cost management
• Valid driver's licence

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
• Computer literate
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• Solid understanding of the market and business environment
• Good business insight
